Boy, this seems pretty awful. I am a fan of Lauren Lapkus' off-kilter style of humor. The Earliest Show, (costarring Ben Schwartz) is the best vehicle for her brand of comedy in my opinion. I thought she was good in the short-lived Crashing as well.

Yeah that’s not gonna happen. I avoid all baby, birth, new parent films like the plague. I am going to see Megalopolis today though! First film in the theater in months. And I watched Civil War on tv last night. Not sure what I thought of it. Kind of a mixed reaction.

Ooh! I'd love to hear what you think of Megalopolis! I haven't watched Civil War yet and I'm pretty sure I don't need to see it!

You might get to experience the real thing in a few weeks....😱

Megalopolis was....I'm not sure what to say! It was a lot. It was completely all over the place and attempted a lot. Some of it landed and other parts fell flat completely. But I admired the audacity and there were moments when Adam Driver's performance reminded me of my favorite unhinged Nic Cage performances. You have to forget trying to follow the plot or using normal logic when watching it to appreciate it. But I can do that.

Ha! Yeah, I agree with a lot of what you said. I didn't hate it. It was quite an undertaking for Coppola. Good for him for following his dreams! Sadly, it will probably be viewed as a colossal failure until some people in the future figure it all out!

Yes. Absolutely. I'm not the target audience for this film either, but I had a hard time making it all the way through (but I did). Good idea for a film but there has to be something more to relate to.
