Right now it appears that the film is playing theatrically in limited release. I'm getting conflicting information about when it is to appear on streaming sites. The British do character studies so well. I am thinking immediately of the wonderful Mike Leigh, whose character and class studies are some of my favorite films. And, of course, the amazing 'All of Us Strangers' from the recent brilliant crop of 2023 films.
'Sebastian' sounds very interesting. I also appreciate that many European films don't shy away from difficult, real-life subject matter. Reading about its premise, I have a hard time imagining an American filmmaker taking it on. I often feel the same way when watching some television from the UK and Europe.
I'll keep an eye out for it in one of our indie cinemas here in Portland and let you know when I see it.
