Totally agree with this. I loved the film. A real throwback to Allen’s classics and why we treasure him as a filmmaker. Hope there are more films from him to come!

Thanks for this review — I had heard it was a return to form for Allen. I will definitely check it out. It has been a while since I could even make it through one of his newer films, mostly due to tone deafness and him seeming to be repeating himself and not in a good way. And this is supposedly film #50 from him which is mind blowing. 🤯

It's definitely worth seeing even if it does feature some familiar themes. Very tight script!
