I taught as an adjunct professor at San Diego State from 1999 to 2001. I taught a brand new course called "Web Design." That was back when we were developing with tools such as Fireworks and Macromedia's Flash. About 95% of users were accessing the web with dial-up modems. :-)
That trip to Italy was great and it was fun to seek out the significant architectural wonders.
